SET OF 8 HISTORICAL PRE-DECIMAL COINS:
British coins dating back approximately 1200 years. The base denomination was the penny, introduced in the 8th century AD, which was the only denomination minted for 500 years.
Subsequently, several new denominations were added, especially between the 13th and 16th centuries: Farthing, Halfpenny, Penny, Brass Threepence, Sixpence, Shilling, Florin or Two Shilling Piece (Two Bob Bit), Halfcrown
Used, with documentation and original packaging.
SET OF 9 PROTOTYPE EURO COINS FROM 2003
Series of designs based on 3 important events:
1. Union of the English and Scottish thrones, 1603-2003. Beginning of the United Kingdom.
2. The United Kingdom celebrates 30 years in Europe, 1973-2003.
3. 50th anniversary of the coronation, 1953-2003.
Specifications on the certificate: Five, two, and one euro designs. 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, 1 cent.
Used, with certificate no. 02643. Presentation box that belonged to another coin!
