MIDDLE EAST COUNTRY: ORDER OF VALOR. 2ND CLASS WITH SILVER STAR EMBLEM ON RIBBON.
Established in 1964, it is awarded in three grades, according to rank. The medals differ in size, corresponding to the class of decoration:
- 1st Class: For officers. With the silver palm emblem on the ribbon.
- 2nd Class: For non-commissioned officers (NCOs): With the silver star emblem on the ribbon.
- 3rd Class: For other ranks.
Made of gold-colored metal alloy with green enamel.
Approximate weight: 27 g. Measures 5 cm x 5 cm. Medal ribbon with two-pronged mounting pin.

Eight-pointed star medal, made of bronze-colored metal alloy.

Established on July 4, 1953, and awarded to uniformed personnel wounded in the service of the state.

Instituted on August 1, 1962, to recognize personnel who served from that date onward. It was expanded in 1965 to include those who served between August 1945 and August 1962 and rejoined the service after March 8, 1963.
Made of gold and silver-colored metal alloy with red, green, black, and white enamel.

Instituted on July 28, 1971, to be awarded to members of the Armed Forces who served on August 1, 1971, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Army.
Made of gold-colored metal alloy with red, green, black, and white enamels.
Dimensions: 44.80 mm x 44.50 mm. Weight: 25 g.

MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRY: 1963 ARMY MEDAL FOR LONG AND EXEMPLARY SERVICE. TYPE II. VARIANT WITH RED STRIPE ON THE FLAG.
Instituted in 1963 to be awarded to non-commissioned officers or military personnel for 15 years of service.
The first version (1962-1963) features the flag with a green upper stripe. In the 1963 Type II, the flag stripe is red.
Made of gilt bronze with red, green, black, and white enamels.
Dimensions: 4 cm x 4 cm. Weight: 19 g.

MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRY: COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL OF THE BAATH PARTY'S SEIZURE OF POWER on March 8, 1963
Awarded to civilian and military participants in the revolution who joined the rebel people.
Also known as the March 8, 1963 Revolution Medal.
Inscription on the white enamel obverse: "Unity, Freedom, Socialism, March 8, 1963"
Made of gold-colored metal alloy with red, black, and white enamel.

Established on July 4, 1953, to reward military personnel for bravery in combat or for services rendered.
5 Classifications: Excellent Class, 1st Class, 2nd Class, 3rd Class, 4th Class. They are dffer by the devices on the ribbon. 4th class doesn't carry any.
Made of bronze. Dimensions: 52.7 mm x 39.7 mm. Weight: 35 g.
