Established August 1936 and awarded to the officers and enlisted men of the Navy who shall have actually landed on foreign territory and engaged in operations against armed opposition, or to merit special recognition and have not been awarded a campaign medal.
Circular medal made in bronze. Measures: 33 mm. diameter.
