USSR. MEDAL FOR IMPECCABLE SERVICE IN THE KGB (INTERNAL TROOPS OF THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR) 1st CLASS TYPE 2 (1968-1991)

Soviet military award for long service awarded to deserving members of the military personnel of the armed forces, of the Interior Ministry and of the Ministry for the Protection of Public Order, to recognise 20 years of faithful and impeccable service to the state.

Established on 1-25-1958.

Circular medal made of silver-plated brass with a raised rim and enameled red star. Diameter 32mm.

The first-class medal was initially struck from silver; after 1965 it was constructed of silver-plated brass.
