The EAGLE ASSIST operation began on 10-12-2001 to help the US Armed Forces to control their airspace, after the terrorist attacks on 9-11-2001, in application of Article 5 of the Washington Treaty.

Circular bronze medal by Eekelers-Centini bvba (BELGIUM) Measurements: 35 mm diameter.

Obverse: NATO star and wreath of olive leaves.

Reverse: "North Atlantic Treaty Organization" "In the service of peace and freedom" in English and French.

Dark blue ribbon with a white and gold stripe without a device.
