Was founded on February 17, 1966 (like the Scharnhorst Order) by the GDR Council of Ministers and awarded until the GDR was dissolved in 1990.

Awarded to Members of the National People's Army, members of the MfS and members of other armies of the Warsaw Pact, for merits in the consolidation and the development of mutual cooperation of between the socialist brother armies.

Diameter 35 mm. Non-ferrous metal bronzed. Without edge crest. Bartel I Katalog: 210 b (1968-1984)
