Highest award from the GDR Society for Sport and Technology. Instituted in 1961 in 3 classes: bronze, silver and gold.
Awarded for outstanding service in educating young people for defense.
Made of Silver with a 900 mark on the edge. Diameter: 32 mm.

Reverse:   FÜR DIE STÄRKUNG DER VERTEIDIGUNGSKRAFT UNSERER SOZIALISTISCHEN HEIMAT - GST (FOR THE STRENGTHEN  DEFENSE FORCE OUR SOCIALIST HOME - GST (Society for Sport and Technology)
The medal was worn until 1972 on a trapezoidal red enameled clasp, the base of which was grained. It showed the GST symbol in the middle.

DDR - GDR Medal "For Long-Term Loyalty" (Für langjährige treue Mitarbeit) of the VVB Deep-Sea Fishing Association. Set: Silver and Bronze (two types).
The "For Long-Term Loyalty" medal of the VVB Deep-Sea Fishing Association was an award in the GDR, presented from approximately 1978 for merit in deep-sea fishing. The awards were given in recognition of long and loyal service in the fishing industry.
It existed in bronze, silver, and gold, and was frequently awarded to loyal employees of the Rostock Fishing Consortium.
The VVB Deep-Sea Fishing Association (Association of State Enterprises) controlled fish processing in the GDR, especially on the Baltic coast (Rostock-Marienehe, Sassnitz).

Description:
The medal was established to recognize the long-term dedication and exemplary service of members of the Fighting Groups of the Working Class. These groups were paramilitary units composed of workers who were trained and organized to defend the German Democratic Republic (GDR) against internal and external threats. The medal was created to honor their commitment to the socialist state and their role in safeguarding its achievements. It was awarded in four classes:

5 years service (bronze)
10 years service (silver)
15 years service (gold)
20 years service (gold) with gold circular ribbon device (post 1978)
